The Fisher House Of Boston, in West Roxbury, MA, is a home away from home where our military families can stay while a loved one is receiving in-house treatment at the VA Medical Center in West Roxbury, MA.
The Patio and Walkway Problem
The patio and walkway, where family members can relax and unwind, was in disrepair. In lieu of a costly demolition and reconstruction plan, we proposed to overcoat the existing construction.
Team Solution Milamar Outdoor Coating System
The existing surface was shot blasted to remove loose materials and provide a surface for the Milamar coating system used. ICO primer with sand added was used to fill worn and eroded areas in one pass. A slip-resistant aggregate was broadcast into the primer slurry. A mid-coat of ICO flooring was then installed. The mid-coat was topped with two coats of matte finish PM 550 waterborne urethane.
